The Commons at Spring Creek is a 58-unit missing middle townhouse development in Richardson, Texas that seeks to establish a dynamic urban context and walkable streetscape on a site isolated by large-scale infrastructure. Located on the DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) commuter rail next to the Cityline/Bush Station. The western edge of the site is bounded by Red Moon Way and the Spring Creek Park Trail that leads to a larger park space south of the site.

The townhouses are assembled in eleven buildings that follow the perimeter of the site offering a central gathering space and a dog park for residents and the city.  The buildings along Red Moon Way are designed with generous entry porches to connect to the sidewalk, large windows to bring in natural light and shifts in the building massing in both plan and section to break up the large facades. Black offset panels accent the window openings further breaking down the facade and the repetitive nature of the units, and alternate raised brick coursing add detail and shadow play to the base of the building.
